Plot

1986, Kyeonggido. Young woman's body was discovered in raped and murdered. 2 mounth later, while several similar case occured, these case was paid attention. and it made this area in fear with chainsaw.
Special detecting team was made, and good detective from Seoul came. but they didn't find out who is murderer. team was consist of head 'Gu heebong', 'Park duman', 'Jo yonggu', and 'Seo taeyun' from Seoul. 'Park duman' who had good sensitive forced some suspect to confess. 'Seo taeyun' investigated with reports, and chased with only clues.
But these two men had different style, so they tackled each other. suspect was arrested and it was going to end. however, when doing on-site verification with media, suspect denied criminal. Because of this, Head of team was fired.
Murderer didn't leave any clues. murder weapon was thing which victims had. fur the more, in raped case, there wasn't one hair which it could easily find in other case. to follow this clues, 'Park duman' chased suspect who didn't have any hair on his body. 'Seo taeyun' found out all victims wearing was red clothes and case occurred in rainy day.
To arrest, detectives made a trap which was some police in wearing red clothes in rainy day. but nothings happened. next day, another victims was found. So media attack detectives as all disabled.

About background. It is based on real crime. it is in 1986~1991, Hwasungsi, Kyeonggido. it is called 'Hwasung chainsaw'.  it is so called first chainsaw in korea.
and murderer isn't catched until now. also in 2006, detecting limitation of this case was over. so if murderer was arrested, he will not be punished. at that time, there wasn't any similar case before. so all detectives didn't know how to do. 'Park duman' forced one suspect to confess in lie with assault. Actually, it was often 'how to catching murderer' at that time. so so many innocent suspect was arrested by forced.
